Q1. Whether a candidate who has taken a degree in a vocational subject is eligible for D.el.ed. Programme or not?

Ans. The candidate must be graduate from a recognised University in any stream to be eligible for D.el.ed. Programme.

Q2. What is the duration of D.el.ed. Programme?

Ans. Four semesters in two years.

Q3. What kind of job can I get after completing D.El.Ed. Programme?

Ans. One can work as an assistant teacher in primary schools after qualifying the TET/CTET and SUPER TET conducted by the UP government.

Q4. This year I am appearing/ have appeared in graduation final year exam am I eligible to take admission in the D.el.ed. Programme?

Ans. No, the candidate must have completed his or her graduation to get admission in D.el.ed. Programme.

Q5. I have secured more than 50% marks in my previous year but unable to manage 50% marks in aggregate after final year result, in this case may I be allowed to pursue D.el.ed. Programme?

Ans. No, the candidate must have secured an aggregate of 50% marks for general category and 45% aggregate for OBC, SC and ST category in graduation.

Q6. What is the age limit for D.el.ed programme?

Ans. The minimum age required for admission in D.el.ed is 18 years, and the candidate should not be more than 35 years old. 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit is allowed for OBC/SC/ST category candidates and 15 years relaxation for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Q7. What is the medium of instruction in D.el.ed. Programme at D.I.E.T. Hapur /Ghaziabad?

Ans. Hindi and English.

Q8. What is the minimum percentage of attendance required in D.el.ed?

Ans. 75% of attendance is required in each semester.

Q9. Will I be allowed to appear in the exam if my attendance is short due to any medical reason?

Ans. The candidate can be given 10 days casual leave in each semester and 20 days of medical leave in specials cases with the consent of the principal DIET. He/She will not be allowed to appear in the exam if his/her attendance is less than 75% of the working days.

Q10. Is there any uniform for D.el.ed. students at D.I.E.T. Hapur/ Ghaziabad?

Ans. Yes, there is a uniform for the students which they are expected to put on while in the institute and during the internship period.

Q11. Is there any hostel facility available for the students at  D.I.E.T. Hapur/ Ghaziabad?

Ans. No, there is no hostel facility for the students but PG’s are easily available in the nearby areas.

Q12. Is there any scholarship facility available for D.el.ed. students at D.I.E.T. Hapur/Ghaziabad?

Ans. Yes, scholarship facility is available for all the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of social welfare department which is responsible for the allotment of the scholarship.

Q13. Can I pursue D.el.ed. Programme and any other course simultaneously?

Ans. As D.el.ed. Programme is a regular programme so, no other regular course can be done simultaneously with it.

Q14. What is the duration of the internship in each semester?    

Ans. 30 days per semester.

Q15. Is there any sports facility available for the students at D.I.E.T. Hapur /Ghaziabad?

Ans. Indoor and outdoor games facility along with the equipments is available at the institution.

Q16. Can the program fee be deposited in instalment?

Ans. No

Q17. What are the timings of the class at D.I.E.T. Hapur /Ghaziabad?

Ans. Its 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Q18. In what conditions a student can be terminated or found ineligible to complete the D.el.ed. Programme?

Ans. In the case of bad conduct and if the attendance is short, the candidate can be seemed as ineligible to complete the programme.

Q19. What is the strength of the classroom at D.I.E.T. Hapur/ Ghaziabad?

Ans. Its 100 students for both district per semester.

Q20. Are students of other states eligible to apply for D.el.ed. Programme at D.I.E.T. Hapur/ Ghaziabad?

Ans. No, one has to present the domicile of UP before taking admission in D.el.ed. Programme.

Q21. What is the criteria of evaluation?

Ans. The evaluation of student is done on the basis of internal and external assessment in internship and semester-wise examination conducted by PNP.

Q22. What other languages are being taught in D.el.ed. Programme at D.I.E.T. Hapur/ Ghaziabad?

Ans. Sanskrit and Urdu.

Q23. Does D.I.E.T. Hapur /Ghaziabad provide any distance learning course for the students?

Ans No.

Q24. Is D.el.ed. equivalent to B.ed?

Ans. No, D.el.ed. is a diploma course in providing elementary education while B.ed. is a bachelor's degree level course in education. D.el.ed certificate holder is eligible for the primary teacher while B.ed certificate holder is eligible for primary and secondary teachers.

Q25. What is the process to procure TET mark sheet?

Ans. The candidate needs to bring:

  • One passport size photograph, identity proof, admit card of the concerned year.

  • A self-attested photocopy of graduation final year with percentage of marks secured written on it.

  • A self-attested photocopy of B.Ed. mark sheet/ mark sheet of BTC 4th semester.

  • Candidates who belong to SC, ST or OBC category and have secured marks between 45%-50% in graduation need to present a photocopy of caste certificate.

  • If the candidate belongs to the General category and has secured less than 50% marks in graduation then he/she needs to submit a photocopy of M.A. final year mark sheet securing more than or equal to 50% marks.

  • If the candidate belongs to SC, ST, or OBC category and has secured less than 45% in graduation then he/she needs to submit a photocopy of M.A. final year mark sheet securing more than or equal to 45% marks.

  • All documents should be self-attested.

Q26. What is the process of back-paper?

Ans. If a student fails in 2 subjects in the present semester then he or she can give the back paper for two subjects only and will be eligible for the upcoming semester but if a student fails in more than two subjects then he or she has to reattempt that whole semester.
